A Delta flight from Amsterdam to Detroit was forced to turn back after maggots fell from an improperly packed carry-on containing rotting fish, leading to passengers being compensated with 8,000 air miles, hotel room compensation, and a $30 meal ticket. The aircraft was deeply cleaned, and the owner of the offending suitcase was detained.
