Alaska Airlines Streamlines Check-In Process with New Technology

Alaska Airlines plans to phase out check-in kiosks at all airports it serves by early 2024 and replace them with mobile-only check-in and new iPad-based bag tag stations. The airline is also planning to introduce self-service automated bag drop stations. Customers who don't have a smartphone or aren't comfortable using the website to check in and tag their own bags will still have the option of a full-service check-in agent. The move is aimed at improving the guest experience and reducing congestion in airports.
