"Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Lands Safely in Portland Despite In-Flight Windshield Crack"

An Alaska Airlines flight from Arlington, VA landed safely in Portland after the plane's inner windshield cracked during descent. The plane, carrying 159 passengers and 6 crew members, suffered a small crack, but with its 5-layer windows, it was able to land safely without interruption or loss of pressure. All of Alaska's 737s feature 5-layer windscreens, and the plane will now be inspected and repaired by engineers on the ground.
