Nvidia Faces Lawsuit Over Screensharing Blunder and Alleged Trade Secret Theft

Nvidia is being sued by automotive technology company Valeo for allegedly benefiting from stolen trade secrets. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, a former Valeo employee who moved on to Nvidia, is accused of downloading Valeo's advanced parking and driving assistance systems source code and other documents before joining Nvidia. During a Microsoft Teams call between Nvidia and Valeo, Moniruzzaman accidentally shared his screen, revealing Valeo's source code file. German police found Valeo documentation and hardware in Moniruzzaman's home office, and he admitted to stealing Valeo's software. Nvidia claims no interest in using the stolen code, but Valeo alleges that Nvidia has still benefited from it. Valeo is seeking damages and an injunction to stop Nvidia from using its trade secrets.
