IBM and Meta Join Forces to Establish Global AI Alliance for Open, Safe, and Responsible Technology

IBM and Meta have launched the AI Alliance, a collaboration with over 50 founding members and collaborators from various sectors, including academia, industry, research, and government. The alliance aims to promote open innovation and open science in AI, fostering responsible innovation while ensuring safety, security, trust, diversity, and economic competitiveness. The initiative seeks to develop benchmarks, evaluation standards, and tools for responsible AI development, advance open foundation models, support AI hardware accelerators, promote global AI skills building, educate the public and policymakers, and encourage open development of AI in safe and beneficial ways.
