Gravity Mobility, a Google-backed EV infrastructure startup, has opened the fastest charging solution in the US to the public in New York City, offering 500 kW chargers capable of providing 2,400 miles of range per hour. The company aims to attract fleet customers and plans to expand its network of high-speed chargers across the United States by raising more funds this year. Despite the current 350 kW charging speed cap for most electric cars, future models are expected to take advantage of faster chargers.
