"Claim Your Share: Google Settles for $23 Million in Search Results Lawsuit"

Google has agreed to pay a $23 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit for sharing search information improperly with third-party websites and companies between 2006 and 2013. Anyone who used Google Search and clicked on a search result during that time period is eligible to apply for compensation, with each person expected to receive around $7.70. To apply, individuals must submit a claim by July 31, 2023, and attest that they submitted a search to Google and clicked on at least one search result between Oct. 26, 2006, and Sept. 30, 2013.
