Aurora's Autonomous Trucking Triumphs and Legislative Hurdles

Pittsburgh-based company Aurora Innovation is aiming to revolutionize the trucking industry by bringing self-driving technology to trucks. While other autonomous trucking companies have scaled back or folded, Aurora is moving ahead and delivering loads for customers such as Uber Freight, FedEx, Schneider, and Werner in Texas. The company is training its system with safety drivers on routes between Dallas and Houston, and Dallas and El Paso, with the goal of launching fully autonomous trucks by the end of 2024.
