City Reinstates Parking Spaces After Reversing Decision

The city council of Watertown, New York, has decided to pay $38,000 to restore two parking spots in front of the Key Bank building downtown, after the building owners expressed concern about the removal of four parking spaces during the downtown streetscape project. The owners had initially been asked to cover the cost, but the council ultimately voted to foot the bill. In addition to restoring the two spots, there are plans to add two parallel parking spaces along Stone Street. The owners expressed gratitude for the decision but still hope for the return of all four parking spaces.
