Central Park bird-watcher's accuser loses job appeal

Amy Cooper, the white woman who called the police on a Black bird-watcher in Central Park, has lost her appeal against her former employer, Franklin Templeton, who fired her following the incident. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled that Cooper did not prove that she was illegally dismissed on the basis of race or defamed by being branded a racist. The court also stated that Franklin Templeton's statements did not mention Cooper's race and that the company responded appropriately.
