Teamsters Threaten UPS Strike Over Unfair Labor Practices

The Teamsters union is threatening to strike against UPS in Louisville, citing unfair labor practices after the layoff of 35 workers at the UPS Centennial Hub who recently joined Teamsters Local 89. Teamsters president Sean O'Brien has given the company until Monday to rectify the situation. UPS denies any unfair labor practices and states that they regularly align staffing with business needs. Local 89 represents over 2,000 teamsters at the Centennial Hub and over 12,000 at the Worldport Hub in Louisville.
