Teamsters in Louisville Threaten Strike Over Unfair Labor Practices at UPS

Teamsters General President Sean M. O'Brien has warned UPS that if they do not rectify the unfair labor practices against their members in Louisville, Kentucky, they may face a strike. The Teamsters are currently engaged in an unfair labor practice strike against DHL in Louisville, and UPS's recent actions to deny collective bargaining rights to their workers have further fueled tensions. Despite an independent arbitrator's ruling, UPS laid off specialist and administrative workers who had successfully organized with Teamsters Local 89. The union is filing unfair labor practice charges against UPS and has given them until Monday to address the situation.
