Las Vegas Casino Workers Threaten Strike as Formula 1 Grand Prix Approaches

Over 30,000 hotel workers at Las Vegas casinos, members of the Culinary Workers Union, have set a strike deadline for November 10 if they do not reach new union contracts. The strike would affect 18 casinos, including popular ones like Bellagio and MGM Grand, just days before the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend begins on November 15. The union has been negotiating with MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts since April, seeking significant wage increases. The event is expected to draw 30,000 people to Las Vegas.
