Customer Rescued from Overnight Vault Imprisonment at Midtown Jewelry Store

A 23-year-old customer was freed after spending the night trapped inside a secured room in a Midtown building housing jewelry businesses. Firefighters worked for about 10 hours to unlock the timed lock mechanism on the vault, ultimately deciding to stop for the customer's safety. The man was physically fine and checked out by EMS after being freed.
