Shooting Incidents Lead to Arrests in Lakeland and Polk County

A 28-year-old man, Calvin Jordan Sousa, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and improper exhibition of a firearm after he barricaded himself in a Lakeland home following a shooting at a fast food restaurant. The shooting occurred after a fight broke out between two men in the drive-thru line, and Sousa fired multiple shots into the victims' minivan, leaving a 28-year-old woman with serious injuries. She is currently in stable condition.
