Rampant Smash-and-Grab Burglaries Plague West Loop Luxury Retail Store

A luxury retail store in the West Loop has been targeted for the fourth time this year in a smash-and-grab robbery. The thieves drove an SUV into the store, causing significant property damage and stealing merchandise worth an estimated $50,000 to $100,000. Despite the store's added security measures, including concrete pillars and no-break glass, the thieves were able to bypass them. The incident was captured on store cameras, and the store is working to reopen soon. Police are investigating, and no one has been arrested.
