Lafayette Target stores cleared after bomb threat scare.

The Lafayette Police Department is investigating bomb threats at both Target stores in Lafayette after an email was sent claiming that bombs were placed inside the stores. The email accuses Target of betraying the LGBTQ+ community and threatens economic damage. LPD has dispatched officers to investigate but has not ordered an evacuation yet. The Target store on Ambassador Caffery Pkwy has been cleared, but officers are still investigating the Louisiana Avenue location. A Target store in Baton Rouge is also mentioned in the email.
