"Flight Attendant Held for Allegedly Attempting to Record Teen in Plane Bathroom"

An American Airlines flight attendant, Estes Carter Thompson III, is being held in custody pending trial after being accused of attempting to secretly record a 14-year-old female passenger using an airplane bathroom. Investigators allege that he had recordings of four other minor female passengers using lavatories on previous flights. Thompson is facing charges of attempted sexual exploitation of children and possession of child sexual abuse material, which carry sentences of at least 15 years and up to 30 years in prison, as well as a lifetime of supervised release and fines.
