Elizabeth Holmes' Prison Sentence Reduced, Possible Early Release

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced former CEO of Theranos, may be released from prison nearly two years earlier than originally sentenced for her role in defrauding investors. The U.S. Bureau of Prisons has projected her release date to be December 29, 2032, after serving approximately 9 1/2 years of her 11-year and three-month sentence. Holmes, convicted on four counts of fraud and conspiracy, is eligible for early release under the federal government's "good time" guidelines. Her former partner, Ramesh "Sunny Balwani," is also on track for an early release from his nearly 13-year sentence. Both Holmes and Balwani are pursuing appeals to overturn their convictions.
