Elizabeth Holmes' Prison Sentence Reduced, Early Release Imminent

Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced CEO of Theranos, may be eligible for early release from her 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors in her blood-testing scam. The U.S. Bureau of Prisons projects her release date to be December 29, 2032, nearly two years ahead of schedule. Holmes' sentence remains the same, but she qualifies for early release under the federal government's "good time" guidelines. Her former partner, Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, is also on track for early release from his 13-year sentence. Both Holmes and Balwani are pursuing appeals to overturn their convictions.
