Beware: Scammers Target Walmart's Self-Checkout for Credit Card Theft

A trio of scammers was caught on surveillance footage stealing a shopper's credit card at a Walmart self-checkout counter in Colorado. The scheme involved distracting the victim while one of the thieves stole the credit card from the wallet. The victim later reported fraudulent charges totaling $1,994. Credit card scams and thefts at Walmart stores in Colorado have been a recurring issue, with previous incidents involving skimming devices and thousands of stolen card numbers.
