7 arrested for attempting to smuggle contraband into DeKalb jail

Seven people have been arrested for attempting to smuggle contraband into the DeKalb County Jail in three separate incidents. The items seized included Versace eyeglasses, cell phones, cell phone chargers, cigarette lighters, shaving powder, vape pen, tubes of glue, cigarettes, unwrapped tobacco, Jack Daniels, marijuana, summer sausages, soap bars, toothpaste, tweezers, blunt power spray, lighters, cell phone chargers, SIM card removers, and rolling paper. The suspects face charges of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, crossing guard lines without consent, and criminal trespass.
