Postal Service Fights Back Against Mail Theft and Fraud.

The USPS and its law enforcement arm have announced new measures to combat mail-related crimes, including theft, counterfeiting, and change of address fraud. The measures include the deployment of high-security collection boxes, replacement of arrow and modified arrow locks, and enhanced verification for in-person requests. The USPS is also working with e-commerce companies and Customs and Border Protection to combat counterfeiting. The agency has seen an uptick in mail receptacle thefts and mail carrier robberies. The new measures are part of a program called Project Safe Delivery.
