"Amazon Recalls VRURC Portable Chargers After In-Flight Fire Incident"

VRURC is recalling 190,000 portable chargers sold on Amazon due to a fire hazard caused by a manufacturing condition that could cause overheating and ignition. One of the recalled chargers caught fire on an airplane, leading to four flight attendants inhaling smoke and requiring hospitalization. The chargers, which have built-in cables and a wall plug, can be replaced by the company. Customers are advised not to dispose of the chargers in the garbage or recycling bin but to take them to a place that can dispose of lithium batteries.
