Apple's $7B iPhone production shift to India targets $40B goal in five years

Apple has moved $7 billion worth of iPhone production from China to India, with plans to reach $40 billion within the next five years. The move is part of Apple's strategy to reduce its dependence on China as a manufacturing center. India is seen as a key location for Apple's production relocation, with reports suggesting that a quarter of all iPhones could be made in India by 2025. Apple's primary iPhone assembler, Foxconn, has already begun construction of two new iPhone plants in India, and iPad production is also expected to begin there soon.
